We’re delighted to announce our first confirmed speakers for our Marketing and communications in higher education conference, on Tuesday 4 June 2024 in London and online.
Join us to explore key areas in the sector, including how universities can secure buy-in, tackle AI challenges, navigate dispersed channels, use best practices for crisis management, and much more!
You will be guided by expert speakers, including our conference chairs James Purnell, President and Vice-Chancellor, University of the Arts London, and Emma Leech, Global Marketing Director, Heriot-Watt University, and former President of CIPR.
James Purnell has extensive experience within the creative industries, public policy, and the digital landscape. Prior to UAL he worked in various industry positions including at the BBC, such as Head of Corporate Planning, Director of Strategy and Digital, and Director, Radio & Education. He was Member of Parliament for Stalybridge and Hyde from 2001-2010, becoming Secretary of State for Culture and then for Work and Pensions. He has also served on the boards of the National Theatre, the Young Vic and the BFI.
Emma Leech has won a string of awards over almost three decades. She is a Lead Assessor for Chartered Practitioner status, and her previous roles include Director of Marketing and Communications at Nottingham Trent University and Chartered Institute of Public Relations President.
